The director of the Department of Public Works, Mohammed Nuru, has been arrested in a federal corruption probe, numerous sources confirmed. [UPDATE: Read our full story on Nuru’s arrest here.]
The Chron reports that the owner of Lefty O’Doul’s was also arrested.
There are persistent reports that other political prominent people in San Francisco may be involved in the case, but the US Attorney’s Office is making no comment until a 1:30 press conference.
