48 Hills First Anniversary Gala: Thank you for coming!

April 23 Gala to raise funds for SF’s independent news site featured music, food, and networking galore.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to our April 23 fundraiser at the beautiful Verdi Club! The live jazz by Marc Capelle of Marc & the Casuals and friends  was uplifting. Comedy by Dhaya Lakshminarayanan brought the house down. A big spread of Mexican food from Casa Sanchez kept us all fed and happy. And there were too many special guests and progressive legends in the house to name here.

We’ll have more fundraisers coming up to ensure 48 Hills keeps reporting on essential news, politics, arts, and culture issues. So if you missed this one, don’t fret. (Please donate to help us expand with more coverage!) Enjoy these pictures from the event by photographer Peter Menchini:
