CAT BROOKS is co-founder and executive director of Anti-Police Terror Project and Justice Teams, host of Law & Disorder on KPFA, and a long-time performer, organizer, and activist. She played a central role in the struggle for justice for Oscar Grant, finished second in the 2018 Oakland mayoral election, and has spent the last decade and a half working with impacted communities and families to rapidly respond to police violence and radically transform the ways our communities are organized and cared for. She is an award-winning artivist, resident playwright, director and actress with The Lower Bottom Playaz in Oakland and 3 Girls Theater in San Francisco. DEAN PRESTON is a statewide housing advocate, tenants rights attorney, and activist. He was formerly the elected representative of District 5 on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. Both as a legislator and activist, Dean has repeatedly challenged the super-wealthy to pay their fair share. He’s a progressive champion working to address critical issues of economic security and racial equity in San Francisco. Learn more about Dean here.
