Dear Deeply Informed Reader,
48 Hills Publisher Marke B. here, with some great news about another way you can stay in touch with our content and support our work—including hearing directly from 48 Hills editor Tim Redmond and receiving special recommendations from 48 Hills food & drink writer Tamara Palmer—every week! We’ve been getting a lot of questions and interest, and we wanted to walk through these exciting new options.
Recently, we launched a new suite of newsletters on the independent Ghost publishing platform that allows you to keep up with our daily content as well as delve deeper in local politics and news, our top weekly events picks, and exclusive local food and drink news and offers. If you have already subscribed to our newsletters, you are automatically add to the new system, no need to resubscribe.
The annual newsletter subscriptions are different from the monthly donor memberships. We will be rolling out some awesome perks for our monthly donor members very soon, including free 48 Hills Community Gala tickets to all $20 and $25/month subscribers! As always, we are so appreciative of your support! The newsletters are just one more way to reach our readers, help us pay our local journalists, and keep the free 48hills.org site sustainable.
Here’s how it works. Sign up at this link for the newsletters (or click if you are already subscribed), then access your account to choose which specific ones you’d like to receive. The Daily newsletter is free to all subscribers and sent every weekday with 3-5 of our daily stories + special contests, giveaways, and community notices for 48 Hills readers.
Paid subscriptions: Once you’ve signed up and confirmed your account, you can access the membership page (or “view plans” in your account dashboard) to upgrade to a paid subscription. Paid subscribers at the $50 annual supporter tier or $250 annual SUPERHERO tier get exclusive access to the following:
