More than 1,000 people, including many community leaders, took to the streets today to show their support for striking workers who are demanding a fair contract from Marriott, the largest and most profitable hotel company in the world, which owns seven hotels in San Francisco.
UNITE HERE Local 2 president Anand Singh kicked off the event by saying that “when you pick a fight with hotel workers in the city, you pick a fight with the whole city.”
