Live Shots: Colombian charmers Monsieur Periné welcome 2022

The playful ensemble lit up SFJAZZ for New Year's, with jazzy cumbia and salsa that harked back to 1930s cabarets

A year fraught with tension and anxiety ended on a decidedly festive note for attendees of playful Colombian band Monsieur Periné‘s four-date stopover at SFJAZZ, December 30-January 2 (simulcast through SFJazz’s website). The crowd was ready for some dynamic sparkle, and Monsieur Periné delivered in typically technicolor style.
