The Gala was terrific—and you can still support us!

Photos: Lovers of independent media and Best of the Bay winners flooded El Rio on Wednesday—help us reach our goal.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out on Wednesday and packed El Rio for the 12th Annual 48 Hills Community Gala and Best of the Bay 2025 Winners’ Celebration. Susana y Su Orquesta Adelante heated up the patio with salsa and jazz tunes, while great cocktails and bites from La Mediterranée were served inside. Special thanks to our incredible speakers Cat Brooks and Dean Preston, along with our terrific major sponsors: SEIU Local 1021, HERE Local 2, National Union of Healthcare Workers, Storefront Political, The Worker Agency, Stearns Consulting, Sandra Lee Fewer, Aaron Peskin, TODCO, and The Craig Newmark Foundation.

We are still $4500 short of our goal! Please donate here to help essential independent media survive into 2026. And check out the Best of the Bay winners!
