Live Shots: Metallica roars through 40-year celebration at Chase Center

The hometown heroes played to sold out crowds for two nights of metal mayhem.

Hometown metal legends Metallica tore through monumental hits and deep cuts at their two-night celebration of four decades as a band at Chase Center last weekend. Photographer Jon Bauer was there on Friday night to catch the action—among a crowd that was more than ready the throw horns and bang heads.
