Live Shots: EDM juggernaut Swedish House Mafia got those hands up at Chase Center

The Paradise Again Tour raised the roof with electronic ecstasy

Skinny white kings of EDM Swedish House Mafia ruled the crowd-pleasing electronic music arena scene in the early 2010s—and they truly know how put on a helluva show. Shockingly, however, despite several chart-ruling earworms, the supergroup trio of Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso hadn’t released a debut album until this year’s Paradise Again. The tour for the album, which also functioned as a(nother) reunion hit Chase Center on September 18 with the full spectacle force of an alien landing, thrilling long-time fans and newbie ravers. SHM also exercised extremely good taste in selecting one of my favorite people, Detroit’s own DJ Holographic to open, along with singer-producer Zhu. —Marke B. All photos by Jon Bauer
