We’ve gotten a bit of feedback on our piece about the murder of a healthcare executive and the state of the US health care system. Some letters:

Start waking up  

I must say I have been reading 48 Hills for a while now. This article is the best and most honest insightful article I’ve read that you’ve written so far. Hopefully the American people will start waking up. It’s not OK that someone lost their life to bring this issue to the forefront. However, the politicians need to wake up and kick the lobbyist out of Washington and start being more honest with the people. Give the healthcare back to the doctors.

Single keyhole views  

Tim Redmond’s latest, trying to blame the shooting of the health executive on the Democrats, is over the top and jumping the shark. The incident has nothing to do with the Democrats. 48 Hills should really have much less by Tim. His single-keyhole views have become tiresome.

Tim Redmond answers: I guess my single keyhole is the concept that health care and housing are human rights, and that economic inequality is destroying our society. That seems like a pretty big keyhole, maybe even a double or a triple keyhole. If that’s my biggest fault, I can live with it.
