More than three decades in, Richmond, Virginia, quartet Lamb of God showed it can still bring the weight. And the wait—it had been half a decade since the band tore up the Bay Area. The show on April 3 satisfied its ravenous fans while drawing new acolytes to the fold. Standards like “Walk With Me in Hell” and “Blood Junkie” sounded terrific in the maelstrom, and did new Into Oblivion album tracks, welcomed with head-banging waves and a roiling pit.
