Live Shots: Baby Bushka went running up that hill at Rickshaw Stop

A full-fledged 'Kate Bush experience,' babooshkas and artful gesticulating included

Love was hounded, clouds were busted, babooshkas were ya-ya’d, and Heights were Wuthered when “Kate Bush experience of your dreams” Baby Bushka hit the Rickshaw stage, Monday, April 18, for an adoring, singing, wildly yet artfully gesticulating crowd. The San Diego outfit exuded fun and appropriately ethereal energy—finally touring to celebrate release of their self-titled debut album. But they also paused to honor pianist Nina Leilani Deering, who died in a car accident last year, and who was known for delivering a powerhouse rendition of “This Woman’s Work.”
