Live Shots: Two Door Cinema Club presided over an indie reunion at The Masonic

What you know? The Northern Ireland outfit tore through fan favorites like from the 2010

2010s indie is experiencing quite the comeback, as evidenced by the enthusiastic reception of Northern Ireland rockers Two Door Cinema Club at The Masonic on September 17. Sam Halliday, Alex Trimble, Kevin Baird and assorted touring members of the band led the crowd through a review of the group’s greatest hits, all the way back to 2010 debut album Tourist History‘s bangers like “Undercover Martyn.” Call it nostalgia if you wish, but the Bay’s thirst for the three-piece had already brought them to the Fox back in May—plus, they’re feeling the throwback energy themselves. “The things that are exciting us at the moment are big riffs with high-tempo electronic elements,” bassist Baird told NME back in March. Surely their fans are hoping they keep up that energy for the new sounds they promised to release this year after peppy, fresh-to-2024 single “Happy Customers.”
