Live Shots: JID treated the Masonic to some ‘Surround Sound’

On his 'God Does Like Paradise' tour, the rapid-fire Atlanta rapper charmed a house of eager fans.

It’s been hard for the 48 Hills crew to shake the irresistible bounce of JID’s new ‘Sk8,” featuring favorites Ciara and Earthgang, so we were stoked when the Atlanta-born rapper dropped into the Masonic this past Saturday. Known for what they call his ‘kaleidoscopic,” rapid-fire, often-psychedelic style, he touched on a voluminous 22-song setlist that included recent hit “Community” (featuring Clipse), huge smash from a couple years ago “Surround Sound,” and his collab with Offset, “Bodies.” JID has a charming personality to match his skills, and the rabid fandom ate it up.
