PHOTOS: Scarfing all the gorgeous treats at Foodwise Summer Bash

Food fans flooded the Ferry Building for a fundraising evening of local bounty from restaurants, bars, and producers.

I didn’t get the memo to dress in my summer finery for the annual Foodwise Summer Bash fundraiser on Sunday, which flooded the Ferry Building with goodies from dozens of local restaurants, bars, caterers, and producers. But I embraced my inner hunger-goth, and fortunately my dark clothing hid how stuffed I was when I left.

Imagine a cocktail party where you had endless access to the best appetizers you could imagine, full of diverse and friendly people, in the rare evening sunshine of the Embarcadero waterfront, and you have some idea of what went down. Everybody looked so lovely and swell, and the fundraiser benefitted “Foodwise‘s farmers markets, food access initiatives, and education programs like Foodwise Kids and Foodwise Teens, which empower the next generation of healthy eaters.” I did, indeed, eat healthily.
