Polo & Pan took Frost Amphitheater into what felt like a whimsical backyard party on Friday night, pulling the crowd through that strange mix they’ve mastered, a blend of dreamy space trip and sweaty dance floor. They eased in with their usual floating beats, the kind that make you feel like drifting off into orbit, then snapped into heavy basslines that had people jumping up from their blankets. At points, the set turned rowdier than expected, but that energy was exactly what pulled the crowd back down to earth.

Tycho opened the show to a nearly empty amphitheater, a surprising sight given his reputation. For years, Tycho seemed like the bigger name, but the tables have clearly turned with Polo & Pan’s recent rise. By the end of Tycho’s set, Frost Amphitheater had filled, and Polo & Pan took the stage behind a spaceship-themed booth.
The Frost itself added something special to the night. Outdoors, tucked into Stanford’s campus, it carried an easygoing, almost backyard energy at the start, and by the end, it had transformed into a full-on party. Polo & Pan played their classics from years ago but kept things fresh with newer, livelier grooves.
