Live Shots: Stephen and Damian jam during high Marley moment at the Masonic

The brothers' Traffic Jam tour unleashed multiple generations of hits, Haile Selassie visuals.

In an era when many are launching Tuff Gong tributes, there are still few Marley moments as thrilling as when Bob’s sons perform the legend’s songs live. That was evident during Damian and Stephen Marley’s February 21 concert at The Masonic, the fourth gig of their Traffic Jam tour. The stint was billed as the first time the brothers have presented a curated joint set, though they’re longtime collaborators, as any fan of their 2005 feel-good, knock-boots track “All Night” can attest. This gig was marked by multiple generations of Marley hits and even an A/V apparition of Rastafarianism icon Emperor Haile Selassie. Given the interest in their storied family that’s been aroused by the recently released One Love biopic (a much-anticipated project on which dynasty members like Ziggy Marley reportedly worked closely), one hopes that the gifted sons receive their due down the rest of their road.
