Join us October 20 for our Fall Fling!

Celebrate 8 years of independent media with an outdoor evening party at El Rio in the Mission.

48 Hills is celebrating eight years of independent, progressive media—and our 2020 and 2021 Best of the Bay winners!—with an outdoor patio party at the fabulous El Rio bar in the Mission, SF. (Masks and vax proof required.)

Join us Wednesday, October 20, 6pm-9pm (or a little later, even) for music, bites from Camille’s Confections, cocktails, and a stellar lineup of special guests, including Tom Ammiano signing copies of his memoir and Best Drag Queen 2021 Nicki Jizz performing! We’ll be giving out free vintage logo Bay Guardian tees while supplies last, and Best Record Label Broken Clover Records will be passing out free vinyl albums!

Music provided by Sweater Funk DJs playing classic soul and funk, plus more to be announced. Official program begins at 7. We can’t wait to celebrate with you and thank you for your support. This is a fundraiser, so please help us continue publishing the news and raising hell.

Tickets are $20 at the door or donate here, FREE to subscribing members and Best of the Bay winners (and equivalent donors over the past year). All funds go directly to local journalists, writers, and editors! Even if you can’t make it, please support our mission here: www.48hills.org/about/support-donate.
Checks: SF Progressive Media Center, 176 Winfield, SF CA 94110.

A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU to El Rio for graciously hosting this event! And Rainbow Grocery for sponsoring! El Rio is located at 3158 Mission, SF. See you on the 20th!

48 Hills welcomes comments in the form of letters to the editor, which you can submit here. We also invite you to join the conversation on our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
