Come see Tom Ammiano at our Fall Fling on Wednesday + so much more

Plus: Free records and t-shirts, party with the Best of the Bay winners, Best Drag Queen 2021 performs, and more at El Rio bar, 6pm-9pm

The one and only Tom Ammiano will be signing copies of his memoir Kiss My Gay Ass at our Fall Fling patio party at El Rio, 3158 Mission Street, 6pm-9pm on Wednesday, October 20! Bring your copy (limited number of copies for sale on-site; get there early!) and talk to the beloved politico who was recently featured on ESPN for getting his varsity letter six decades later.

More reasons to come down:

*Celebrate 8 years of 48 Hills’s independent news and culture, and support our future

* Party with the Best of the Bay 2021 and 2020 winners and runners up!

* Great company, light bites from Camille’s Confections, and music by the Sweater Funk DJs!

* Best Record Label Broken Clover Records will be giving out free vinyl records!

* A performance by Best Drag Queen Nicki Jizz!

* We’ll have free vintage logo Bay Guardian t-shirts to give out while supplies last!

* More special guests TBA!

* Yummy El Rio cocktails and drinks!

Here’s the Facebook invite if you want to RSVP, but all the info you need is below. Please join us, masks and vaccination proof required. Tickets are $20 at the door or donate through our site (party is free to contributing 48 Hills members and donors!).

48 Hills welcomes comments in the form of letters to the editor, which you can submit here. We also invite you to join the conversation on our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
