Watch: Scott Woods breaks down ‘Prince and Little Weird Black Boy Gods’ on Music Book Club

The critic and poet's latest book takes a unique look at the Purple One's career and the meaning of his music.

On the latest edition of Music Book Club, we are joined by the awesome Scott Woods—and delve into his “collection of essays, what-ifs and tidbits containing everything the writer and critic has publicly written and published about Prince,” which is quite illuminating! Join us for more Music Book Club online events here.

Scott Woods is the author of Prince and Little Weird Black Boy Gods as well as two books of poetry: Urban Contemporary History Month and We Over Here Now, all published on Brick Cave Media. In April 2006, he became the first person to perform 24 straight hours of poetry.

He is the founder and executive director of Streetlight Guild, a 501(c)(3) performing arts organization in Columbus, Ohio that curates events across disciplines with an emphasis on Columbus-based, original, and historically excluded voices.
