Listen to the gunshots that killed Alex Nieto — the sound file is here

By Tim Redmond

I now have the sound file of the police shooting of Alejandro Nieto. You can listen yourself and see what you hear and come to your own conclusions.

It’s not great quality — this is taken from a security camera near, but not at, Bernal Heights Park. But if you listen, beyond the sound of sirens, you can absolutely hear the pops of gunfire — two, then a pause, then at least 12 more.

You have to click after the jump to get to it.

Here it is, unedited, just as it was given to me.
