In downtown Oakland crowds started to gather at at 8am for the women’s march.

By noon tens of thousands (according to Oakland Police Department the unofficial number is 60,000) had gathered in Oakland for the women’s march.

The San Francisco Women’s march is scheduled to begin at 3pm. One of the Bay Area’s best assets for documenting grassroots organization, Indybay.org, has the details on their calendar. Beginning at 3pm at Civic Center, followed by 5:00-8:00 Candlelight march To Justin Hermann Plaza.

Our initial estimate is over 100,000 people joined the Women’s March in San Francisco despite heavy rain and cold.
